New Book Coming Soon: Witchcraft on the Isle of Man
Gerald Gardner (1884-1964) was the seminal figure in the revival of modern pagan witchcraft. Much of his career is still unexplored, particularly his time in the Isle of Man, where he lived and worked for the last thirteen years of his life. It was on the Isle of Man that Gardner had his famed ‘Museum of Magic and Witchcraft’: an anthropological testament to world magic, a successful tourist attraction, and a beacon for would-be initiates of Wicca. This illustrative guide - to be published by Treadwell's Books in February 2021 - looks at the sources of his inspiration, the creation of his museum, and the scope of his achievements in laying the foundations for the modern revival of witchcraft.
